How to Pack for a Trek Up Mount Ararat in Eastern Turkey
Assuming you book your travels through SilkRoad Moments Tourism, then your biggest stressor will be, "What should I pack?!?"
Do not worry. We have you covered. We want to remove the guesswork from even your packing list, so all you have to do is to take in every moment and every peak while trekking up Ararat.
Use this packing list as a guide (not the ultimate authority) on what you should pack for your time during your travels throughout your time in Turkey. You may need to add or remove items based on your own personal needs.
The climbing season for Mount Ararat is restricted to June to November. You will need to choose your outfits, both off the mountain and on the mountain, depending on the time of your trek. Mount Ararat is in Eastern Turkey which is very conservative. Avoid shorts. Here is a list of high and low temperatures on Mount Ararat:
Average Temperatures at 1170 meters:
June: Lows 52 degrees F, Highs 82 F
July: Lows 59 degrees F, Highs 89 F
August: Lows 59 degrees F, Highs - 89 F
September: Lows 52 degrees F, Highs 80 F
October: Lows 43 degrees F, Highs 68 F
November: Lows 33 degrees F, Highs 54 F

Outfits for the length of your trip
If you are traveling in the summer, the region gets really hot, you will want layers
