This five day tour will bring the Bible to life as you explore the lands of the 7 churches of Revelation. We will handle every detail of the planning so you can focus on taking it all in as our guides walk you through the fascinating history.
Day 1 Arrival in Izmir
Arrive in Izmir and head to the Basilica of St. John. See the ruins of the Temple of Artemis (one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world)! Explore the Archeological Museum of Ephesus. Enjoy the shops and restaurants of the quaint town of Selcuk. Overnight near Ephesus.
Day 2 Ephesus
Spend a full day exploring the fascinating ruins of the ancient city of Ephesus. Walk the streets where Paul lived and preached. Don't miss the famous Library of Celsus and Temple of Hadrian. Overnight near Ephesus.
Day 3 Denizli & Pamukkale
Visit the area of Colossae and then head to Laodicea. Find out why the Bible refers to the Laodiceans as "neither hot nor cold but lukewarm". From there, visit the ancient city of Hierapolis where Philip was martyred. From Hierapolis, see the famous white cotton fortress of Pamukkale. Overnight in Denizli.
Day 4 Alasehir, Salihli, & Akhisar
Stopping by Philadelphia before driving to Sardis. This city was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Lydia. See the Roman gymnasium complex, Byzantine shops and latrines, Roman Avenue, reconstructed synagogue, and the Temple of Artemis. Leaving Sardis, head to Thyatira to see the ruins in the modern day city of Akhisar. Overnight in Bergama (Pergamum).
Day 5 Bergama & Izmir
Visit the Pergamum Museum and then the Acropolis. Travel back to Izmir and visit the ruins of Smyrna. Overnight in Izmir or airport transfer.
